The far pool cleared up
Sand had clouded it for most of July. Today it settled enough to see the anemones on the north wall again, the first time since the spring storms.
Field notes
A shoreline log for a small cove north of the point. Kept irregularly since the low-tide walks started making sense as something worth writing down.
Latest entry: low at 14:20, exposing the far pools for the first time in a week. Water clear enough to see the bottom past the second ledge.

Pools
Sand had clouded it for most of July. Today it settled enough to see the anemones on the north wall again, the first time since the spring storms.
A rock that has marked the third pool for as long as this log has existed was a metre further up the shingle. Wind, most likely, not worth more thought than that.
Ten minutes either side of true low and the far ledge is underwater again. Easy to miss if the walk starts on guesswork instead of the table.
Notes
Lowest tides of the season tend to fall in late summer, early afternoon. Visibility in the pools depends more on the last week of wind than on the tide itself. Nothing here is measured with any real precision — the numbers are close enough for a walk, not a survey.
